Founded in 1923, the Walt Disney Company is a diversified entertainment and media enterprise. Headquartered in Burbank California, the Walt Disney Company, in conjunction with its subsidiaries, operates worldwide. International theme parks include Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland. Customers can also enjoy themed holidays through Disney Vacation Club and National Geographic Expeditions.

The company manages its activities through two segments, namely Disney Entertainment and Media Distribution, and Disney Park, Experiences and Products. The Walt Disney Company produces and distributes film and television content, as well as owning and managing several broadcast networks. The televised instalments are distributed through the ABC, Disney, ESPN, Freeform, FX, Fox, National Geographic, and Star brands. The company produces and markets its films under the Walt Disney Pictures, Twentieth Century Studios, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, and Searchlight Pictures brands. Additionally, the Walt Disney Company also offers streaming services through brands such as Disney+, ESPN+, and Star+.

In addition, the Walt Disney Company sells merchandise such as branded published materials, which include comics and magazines, and games through online and land-based retailers and wholesalers. The company trades on the NYSE under the DIS ticker.
