The iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF provides exposure to large- and mid-sized companies in emerging markets around the world. Managed by BlackRock Inc., which is based in New York, this fund was established in April 2003.
The key objective of the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF is to replicate the investment performance of the MSCI Emerging Markets Index. The companies included in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index are representative of large and mid-cap companies across 27 Emerging Markets (EM) countries. The fund generally invests at least 80% of its total assets in stocks for companies that are listed in the index and in depositary receipts representing securities within this index.
