Tenaris S.A. is a global company engaged in the manufacture and supply of steel pipes and related services, primarily for the worldwide energy industry. The company has a presence in more than 30 countries worldwide, with manufacturing facilities across 16 countries, strategically located in major oil and gas markets. The firm can trace its history back to 1909 and has its global headquarters in Luxembourg.

The firm’s activities include steelmaking, pipe rolling and forming, heat treatment, threading and finishing, employing a total of around 19,000 people worldwide, and offering a manufacturing capacity of around 8.5 million tons of seamless and welded steel pipe. The firm also runs three Research and Development centres, with a focus on the development and testing of new products within the industry, and on innovating industrial processes.

The firm’s main finished products are seamless and welded steel casing and tubing, but it is also involved in the production and distribution of sucker rods, industrial equipment, coiled tubing, heat exchangers, and utility conduits for buildings, as well as the sale of energy and raw materials. The firm is listed on the NYSE under the ticker TS.
