X-trackers Stoxx Europe 600 UCITS ETF DR (XS6R.L) is an ETF designed to track the Stoxx Europe 600 index. The .L listing is the ETF’s pound sterling-denominated London Stock Exchange listing and the ETF also trades on Germany’s Stuttgart and XETRA exchanges in a Euro-denominated format as well as on the Berne eXchange in Switzerland, denominated in Swiss francs.

The Stoxx Europe 600 index that the ETF tracks through a passive, indexing investment approach, consists of the 600 largest, most liquid stocks listed on European stock exchanges, classified as developed markets. The index’s largest component is capped at 20%.

Traditionally, London-listed companies have the largest allocation within the Stoxx Europe 600 index, followed by France, Switzerland and Germany-listed blue chips. Stocks from a total of around 17 European countries can usually be found in the index at any one time. Financials has traditionally been the sector with the largest weighting over the course of the history of the index, (which was introduced in 1998), followed by Consumer Goods, Industrials and Health Care.
