About Sands China Ltd
Founded in 2009, Sands China Ltd., is one of the most successful owners and operators of casinos and resorts in the Chinese territory of Macao. Sands China owns several different properties: The Plaza Macao, Sands Macao, Venetian Macao, and the Cotai Arena, just to name a few. As of 2019, the company’s combined properties totalled 850 shops, 13,000 hotel rooms and 150 restaurants. Sands China also owns Cotai Water Jet, a provider of high-speed ferry services between Hong Kong and Macao. The company is owned by an American casino operator called Las Vegas Sands Corporation. Traded as 01928.HK on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, Sands China went public in 2009. The company raised $3.5 billion, with each share valued at around $1.34. Share demands by institutional investors were four times higher than expected, while public demand was underwhelming, only exceeding availability by a narrow margin. While Las Vegas is the name most synonymous with gambling, Macao is the largest market in the world in terms of overall gaming revenue. Macao is an autonomous region in China where gambling is legal, unlike the rest of the country. Don’t hesitate to diversify. Start trading Sands China stock now.Show More
