Bank of America operates its business through four segments: Consumer Banking, Global Wealth & Investment Management, Global Banking, and Global Markets. Through its Consumer Banking segment, the company offers deposit and consumer lending solutions, including credit cards and personal loans. The company's Global Wealth & Investment Management segment consists of two primary businesses: Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management and Bank of America Private Bank, which offer a range of investment management, wealth management solutions, and retirement products and services. Bank of America's Global Banking segment provides lending products and services, debt and equity underwriting and distribution, and treasury solutions, as well as merger-related and other advisory services. The company's Global Markets segment offers research services as well as and sales and trading services, including risk management products.
