Citigroup Inc. is a financial service holding company that provides various financial products and services to institutions, corporations, governments, and individual consumers around the world. Founded in through a merger in 1998 between Citicorp and Travelers Group, Citigroup has its headquarters in New York.

Citigroup's products and services include wealth management, consumer banking and credit, securities brokerage, corporate and investment banking, and trade and securities services. The company operates through three segments: Global Consumer Banking, Institutional Clients Group, and Corporate/Other. Through Global Consumer Banking, the company handles banking, credit card, lending, and investment services. These services are provided electronically as well as through the company's local branches and offices. The Institutional Clients Group handles banking, markets, and securities services, in addition to offering banking and financial products and services to corporate, institutional, public sector, and high-net-worth clients. Citigroup's Corporate/Other segment handles corporate expenses and a range of unallocated costs.

Stock for Citigroup has been publicly listed on the NYSE since 1998, and the company trades under the ticker C. As of 31 December 2020, Citigroup operates 2,303 branches, primarily located across Asia, Mexico and the United States.
