Coface SA is a French credit insurance company, also known as Compagnie Française d'Assurance pour le Commerce Extérieur. Founded in 1946 and based in Bois-Colombes, France, the firm provides credit insurance to cover businesses against issues such as bad debt, late payments, political risk, and natural disasters. Coface serves clients around the world, with more than 4,000 experts working across 100 countries. The company protects 50,000 businesses worldwide, and has credit checked more than 80 million companies. It had an AA- Fitch rating in 2020.
The company was launched on the Paris EN stock exchange in 2014 and trades under the ticker COFA. In December 2020, the COFA share price showed a 52-week range of €4.45 to €12.51, with the company providing a dividend yield of 3.95%. Coface was awarded ‘Prime’ status by ISS-oekom in 2018, in recognition of its performance in terms of social responsibility. In 2020, Coface acquired SID – PKZ, Slovenia’s market leader in credit insurance.
