Douyu International Holdings Ltd., also known simply as Douyu, is a Chinese company that provides a game-centric live streaming platform that is available for both personal computers and via mobile apps. The firm is based in Wuhan, China, and was established in 2014. The site is the largest of its kind in China with well over 100 million monthly active domestic users.

The platform is built on the firm’s own proprietary technology, and users can access immersive and interactive games and entertainment, alongside premium and exclusive esports content, including platform-specific tournaments and content from valuable partners in the esports industry. The firm also sponsors esports teams. In addition, the platform offers a broad range of other streamed entertainment options, including music events, talent shows, and outdoor and travel events. There is also some user interactivity, in that users can upload their own short video clips to the platform.

Focusing on the domestic Chinese market, the company operates through two segments, namely Live Streaming and Advertisement. The firm’s American Depositary Shares have been listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market since 2019 under the stock ticker DOYU. One ordinary share consists of ten American Depositary Shares.
