Encompass Health is a provider of inpatient rehabilitation and home-based care within the United States. The company offers services within approximately 42 states as well as Puerto Rico. Founded in 1983, Encompass Health Corporation has its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.

Formerly known as HealthSouth Corporation, the company changed its name to Encompass Health Corporation in January 2018. Encompass Health operates a network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, hospice agencies, and home health agencies. The company is managed through two segments: Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Home Health and Hospice. Encompass Health offers specialised rehabilitative treatment on an inpatient basis. The company's home health agencies provide a broad range of skilled home health services, including skilled nursing, medical social work, physical, occupational and speech therapy, and home health aide services. Encompass Health also offers a selection of specialty programs that relate to post-operative care, chronic disease management, transitional care, and fall prevention.
