Tapestry is the parent company for Coach, Kate Spade New York, and Stuart Weitzman. The company was established in 1941 and as of July 2021 has 16,400 employees across all its locations. The company is headquartered in New York.
In 2021, the Coach brand had 9,900 employees and 939 directly operated stores. Kate Spade New York had 400 employees and was sold in 407 directly operated stores. Stuart Weitzman had 800 employees, and its footwear was sold in 104 directly operated stores. Tapestry brands are also sold through luxury retailers in both bricks and mortar and online stores. Coach is Tapestry's oldest brand, founded in 1941 in a loft in Manhattan; Stuart Weitzman was launched in 1986; and Kate Spade New York was created in 1993.
