Operating globally, the company has its headquarters in New York. Formerly known as Ubiquiti Networks, Inc., the organisation affected a name change to Ubiquiti, Inc. in 2019. Ubiquiti, Inc. was incorporated in 2003.

The company designs platforms for high-capacity distributed internet access, unified information technology, and consumer electronics and accessories for business and personal use. The service provider platforms offer carrier-class network infrastructure for fixed wireless broadband, wireless backhaul systems, and routings. The enterprise product platforms provide wireless LAN infrastructure, video surveillance products, routing and switching solutions, security solutions, and related WLAN (wireless local area network) and consumer products under the Ubiquiti brand. Additionally, Ubiquiti also offers technology platforms. These include airMAX, which has proprietary protocols aimed at minimising signal noise. EdgeMAX is a software and system routing platform. airFiber is a point-to-point radio system, and UFiber GPON is a plug-and-play fibre network for the construction of high-speed fibre internet networks.

Ubiquiti, Inc. has an international network of approximately 100 distributors, online retailers, and direct-to-customer sales. The company trades its common shares on the NYSE under the UI ticker.
