What Is CNX Resources Corp?
CNX Resources Corporation is an oil and natural gas company that operates within the United States. The company explores, develops, produces, and acquires natural gas properties, primarily within the Appalachian Basin. Founded in 1860, CNX Resources has its headquarters in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.

Formerly known as CONSOL Energy Inc., the company changed its name to CNX Resources Corporation in November 2017. CNX designs, builds, and operates natural gas gathering systems to produce natural gas primarily for sale to gas wholesalers. The company operates through two segments: Shale and Coalbed Methane. CNX Resources primarily focuses on unconventional shale formations located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, specifically Marcellus Shale and Utica Shale. The company also develops and operates coal bed methane (CBM) properties in Virginia.

CNX Resources stock is listed on the NYSE under the ticker CNX. The company owns, operates, and develops additional midstream energy assets in the Marcellus Shale and Utica Shale in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. In total, CNX Resources manages approximately 2,600 miles of natural gas gathering pipelines and several natural gas processing facilities. The company also provides water delivery and gas gathering solutions to third parties. In February 2021, CNX Resources announced a partnership with Bettis Brothers and The Bus Stops Here Foundation intended to improve access to opportunities in the natural gas industry to disadvantaged communities within the Pittsburgh area.
