Diversified Energy Company PLC is an energy company that produces and distributes natural gas and crude oil. It is an independent company that transports natural gas and oil to multiple regions in the United States. Founded by Robert Russell Hutson Jr. in 2001, the company was incorporated in 2014. Its headquarters are located in Birmingham, Alabama.

Diversified Energy Company owns natural gas and oil wells in the Appalachian Basin of the US and operates primarily from these wells. It has field operations throughout America, mainly in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The company is the largest of its kind in these areas. Since 2021, Diversified Energy Company has begun focusing on the central regional areas of the US, operating in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.

The company has an asset base of roughly 67,000 gas and oil wells, consisting of conventional and unconventional natural gas, natural gas liquids, and oil. Its portfolio includes 17,000 miles of pipeline used to collect natural gas, as well as a collection of processing facilities and compressing stations. Diversified Energy Company trades on the LSE using the ticker DEC.
