Embracer Group AB is a Swedish video game publisher that acts as the parent company to six subsidiaries. These subsidiaries specialise in the design of games for computers, mobile devices and gaming consoles. With headquarters in Karlstad, Sweden, the Embracer Group is an international outfit operating in over 40 countries worldwide and was founded in 2008. Its subsidiaries include THQ Nordic GmbH, Koch Media Holding, Deep Silver, Milestone, Tarsier Studios, Amplifier Game Invest and Saber Interactive.

This group operates more than 45 game design studios. Formerly known as THQ Nordic AB, the company changed its name to the Embracer Group AB in 2019. As part of its gaming portfolio, the Embracer Group owns close to 200 gaming franchises. These include well-known titles such as Saints Row, Dead Island, World War Z, Insurgency, TimeSplitters, Borderlands and Kingdoms of Amalur. The games are distributed through both traditional and digital markets.

Stock for Embracer Group is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange (OMX) under the ticker EMBRACB.ST. The group’s stock has been listed on the exchange since November 2016. On 8 March 2022, Embracer Group completed its acquisition of Financière Amuse Topco SAS, also known as Asmodee, an international publisher and distributor of board games, in a deal worth approximately €2.75bn.
