Formerly known as Lynas Corporation Limited, the company changed its name to Lynas Rare Earths Limited in November 2020. The company’s products include neodymium and praseodymium, which are used in magnets, as well as lanthanum, cerium and mixed heavy rare earth materials. These materials are used in a wide range of applications, including wind turbines, energy-efficient motors, digital technologies and auto catalysts. Lynas Rare Earths holds an interest in the Mount Weld project located in Western Australia. The company operates a concentration plant in Australia near Mount Weld and an advanced materials plant located near Kuantan, Malaysia.

In February 2022, Lynas announced plans to build a new Rare Earths Processing Facility in Kalgoorlie to process materials from the Mount Weld project. Stock for Lynas Rare Earths Limited is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange under the ticker LYC. The company’s stock has been listed on the exchange since July 1999.
