Mobileye Global Inc. is a self-driving technology unit of Intel (INTC) and a pioneer of the autonomous vehicle revolution. The company was founded in 1999 by Professor Amnon Shashua at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and evolved from his research in automotive monocular vision systems and software algorithms. With its headquarters still in Jerusalem, Israel, Mobileye currently supports a vast number of automotive manufacturers in driver-assisted technology across North America, Asia, and Europe.
In just 20 years, Mobileye’s exponential technological advancements have assisted 100 million vehicles across three continents. EyeQ system chip is a software solution designed for self-driving systems and is the brain behind everything Mobileye produces. Mobileye originally went public on the NYSE in 2014 and remained live on the stock exchange until 2017, when it was acquired by Intel Corp. Mobileye has now gone public for the second time with an IPO offering of 41 million shares, which has been valued as one of the highest IPOs of 2022.
