About Pilbara Minerals Limited
Pilbara Minerals Ltd is an Australian lithium and tantalite mining company, that engages in exploring, developing, and mining resources. The firm owns the largest, independently owned hard-rock lithium operation in the world, the Pilgangoora Operation, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This facility is engaged in the production of a spodumene and tantalite concentrate, in collaboration with several high-profile global partners such as General Lithium, Ganfeng Lithium and Great Wall Motor Company. The company is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia and was founded in 2005.

Pilbara Minerals Ltd owns and operates several subsidiaries including Tabba Tabba Tantalum Pty Ltd, Sturt Resources Ltd, and Pilbara Lithium Pty Ltd, with an interest in Altura Lithium Operations. The company's main project, the Pilgangoora Project has reported a resource of about 213 metric tons grading over 1.32% lithium oxide, with 116 parts per million Tantalite and 1.08 Iron oxide, as of February 2021.

The company is focused on the delivery of a low-cost, quality spodumene, but Pilbara Minerals stated in February 2022 that they will also pursue a diversification and growth strategy. This will enable them to evolve into a low-cost and sustainable lithium producer as well as a fully integrated raw materials and chemicals supplier. The firm is listed on the ASX where it trades under the stock ticker PLS.
