What Is TE Connectivity Ltd?
TE Connectivity Ltd. develops, produces, and markets connectivity and sensor solutions. The company aims to create a safer and more sustainable future while promoting and maintaining productivity. Previously known as Tyco Electronics Ltd., the organisation changed its name to TE Connectivity in 2011. With its headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, the company was incorporated in 2000. TE Connectivity operates internationally in Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, Africa, and the Asia Pacific.

The company runs its operations through three segments. TE Connectivity’s Transportation Solutions segment deals with terminals and connector systems, including components, sensors, and relays. The Industrial Solutions segment’s focus includes interventional medical components, components for aerospace defence, and energy market services. The Communications Solutions segment provides electronic components, which includes terminals and connector goods and antennas for data and other devices.

TE Connectivity markets its products in approximately 140 countries. These are primarily direct sales to manufacturers and third-party distributors and retailers. The company employs an estimated 85,000 employees throughout the world, which includes an engineering complement of approximately 8,000 engineers. TE Connectivity is publicly listed on the NYSE and trades under the ticker TEL.US.
