It merged with Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company (WRECO) in 2014 to form the TRI Pointe Group, Inc., before changing its name to Tri Pointe Homes, Inc. in January 2021. The company develops properties in Arizona, Texas, California, Nevada, Washington, Colorado, Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

Tri Pointe manages its enterprises through a portfolio of six different brands, namely Maracay Homes, Pardee Homes, Quadrant Homes, Trendmaker Homes, TRI Pointe Homes, and Winchester Homes. Additionally, the company also provides related financial services, such as mortgage financing, title and escrow services, and property and casualty insurance agency services.

As of December 2020, the company’s developments consist of 112 active selling communities and 35,641 owned or controlled premises. Tri Pointe Homes markets its developed homes through its own sales representatives as well as independent real estate agents. The company is publicly listed and trades its common stock on the NYSE under the TPH ticker.
