Ultra Group dates back to 1937 and is considered one of the five largest business conglomerates in Brazil. The company operates in a number of segments: Fuel, Liquefied Petroleum Gas, Specialty Chemicals, and Liquid Bulk Storage.

Ultra Group has a presence in nearly all of Brazil and in the Federal District, covering 85% of the country. The company is one of Brazil’s largest business groups, with 17,000 employees in Brazil and abroad.

Company brands include Extrafarma, one of the largest pharmacy networks in Brazil, with more than 400 stores in 12 states of Brazil; Ipiranga, which has the second largest fuel and lubricant distribution network in the country, with more than 8,000 points of resale; Oxiteno, a co-developer of chemical solutions and specialties; Ultracargo, a liquid bulk storage company; and Ultragaz, the largest distributor of Liquefied Petroleum Gas in Brazil.
