Founded in 1004, Vermilion Energy Inc. is an international energy producer that acquires, explores, develops, and produces petroleum and natural gas. With its headquarters in Calgary, Canada, Vermillion operates internationally in North America, Europe, and Australia. It has 12 office locations in eight countries, namely the United States, Canada, Hungary, Croatia, Australia, Netherlands, France, and Germany.
As of December 2021, the company owns 81% working interest in more than 636,000 net acres of developed land and 85% working interest in more than 301,000 net acres of undeveloped land. These include interests in the Powder Basin in the United States, the Aquitaine and Paris Basins in France, as well as land in the Netherlands, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, and Slovakia. Vermillionโs operations include conventional natural gas wells and light and medium crude oil wells.
Additionally, Vermilion also has interests in the offshore Corrib natural gas field off the coast of Ireland and the Wandoo offshore oil field on Western Australiaโs northwest shelf. Recognised by leading ESG agencies for its transparency and management of environmental issues, Vermillion aims to limit environmental impacts during its operations. The company trades under the VET stock ticker on the NYSE.
