Core Lithium Ltd is an Australian mineral exploration company headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia. The company is engaged in the development of one of the lowest-cost, capital-efficient spodumene lithium projects in Australia, the Finniss Lithium Project, located in Darwin Port in the Northern Territory. The firm has been in operation since 2010.
Core’s 2021 Definitive Feasibility Study and Scoping Study assessed the Finniss Project to be capable of processing some of the highest-grade lithium resources while having an estimated 10-year mine life. The project is located in the Bynoe Pegmatite Field and covers approximately 500 square kilometres in this area. The company has two other high-profile projects: Anningie and Barrow Creek Lithium Projects, based in the North Arunta Region of the Northern Territory. They have a combined total of five exploration licenses and cover 2,000 square kilometres.
Core Lithium also has projects focussed on zinc, uranium, copper, silver, lead and gold. Its zinc projects include the Yerelina Project, which hosts a zinc system that stretches over an area of approximately 500 square kilometres in South Australia. The firm is listed on the ASX where it trades under the stock ticker CXO.
