The SPDR Dow Jones REIT ETF is an exchange traded fund that seeks to track the total return performance of the Dow Jones® US Select REIT Index, an index comprised of publicly traded REIT securities in the U.S. The fund is managed by State Street Global Advisors, the asset management division of State Street Corporation, a major investment firm with around $3.86bn in assets under management, established in 1978 and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.

This fund aims to provide investors with exposure to a float-adjusted market capitalization index, which is designed to provide a measure of real estate securities that serve as proxies for direct real estate investing, in part by excluding securities whose value is not always closely tied to the value of the underlying real estate. The index is comprised of companies whose charters are the equity ownership and operation of commercial and/or residential real estate and which operate under the REIT Act of 1960.

The fund has a quarterly distribution frequency. The SPDR Dow Jones REIT exchange traded fund is listed on the NYSE where it trades under the stock ticker RWR.
