Box, Inc. offers a cloud content management platform that supports the secure management of cloud content. Operating internationally, the company's platform allows users to collaborate with both internal and external parties on any device. Founded in 2005, Box, Inc. has its headquarters in Redwood City, California.

Formerly known as Box.net, Inc., the company changed its name to Box, Inc. in November 2011. Box's platform also supports the automation of content-driven business processes and the development of custom applications, as well as integrating with enterprise business applications. The company's platform features strong security features to implement data protection in compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and legal and regulatory requirements.

Available on the NYSE, stock for Box, Inc. is listed under the ticker BOX. As of January 31, 2021, Box has over 105,000 paying clients and 77.7 million registered users. The company's platform is available in 25 languages. In February 2021, Box announced plans to acquire SignRequest, a cloud-based electronic signature startup, in a deal for $55m. Box also announced that while SignRequest would continue to operates as a stand-alone business serving existing customers, it would also integrate the technology into Box Sign, a new e-signature product that would integrate natively into Box.
