About Aurubis AG
Aurubis AG was founded in 1866 and is a global provider of copper and one of the largest copper recyclers in the world. It produces over 1 million tons of marketable copper cathodes annually from a variety of copper-based products and copper scrap.
Aurubis AG is focused on processing and recovering copper, while also producing other precious metals, such as gold and silver, and other products like sulfuric acid and iron silicate, which are by-products of copper production.
The company operates in different markets across North America, Asia and Europe and employs about 6,700 employees in over 20 countries. It is active in additional markets via subsidiaries and holdings, while its largest site and headquarters are located in Hamburg.
