A French IT services and consulting company, Atos was founded in 1997, in Bezons, France. Atos is known for cutting-edge cloud, big data and cybersecurity services. In addition, the company provides a multitude of secondary services under several brands, like Atos Healthcare, Worldline and Unify. The creation of Atos was the result of a merger between two French companies. A subsequent merger with Dutch Origin B.V. in 2000 resulted in the creation of Atos Origin. An impressive 2010 buyout of Siemens IT Solutions and Services triggered an additional name change, with Atos being the new name.
Atos stock, ATO.PA, is listed on the Euronext exchange and the CAC 40 Component. In 2014, the French IT firm spun off its electronic payment division, Worldline, with the IPO valued at $3.2 billion. Shares were estimated to be worth around $20 each, with a substantial amount made available to employees.
For numerous reasons, large companies will often select a recurring theme for their advertising placements. For Atos, the focus is on athletic competitions. Atos sponsored the Commonwealth Games in 2014, the Southeast Asia Games in 2015 and the European Championships in 2018.
