The second segment, Moody's Analytics, provides data and analytic solutions, developing a range of products and services that support financial analysis and risk management activities of institutional participants in global financial markets.

The firm’s aim is to help decision-makers to manage risk and identify opportunities by providing trusted insights and standards. The firm is also engaged in the provision of corporate and government credit assessment and training services, and credit software to financial institutions. Moody's employs approximately 3,000 people worldwide including more than 1,000 analysts. The company is listed on the NYSE where it trades under the stock ticker MCO.
