eToro | Global Markets & 24/7 Operations

Financial markets never stop moving, and neither do the systems that power trading at eToro. Our Trading Systems team sits at the center of live market activity, supporting trading across global markets, multiple asset classes, execution venues, and both traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi) workflows.

We are looking for a Trading System Specialist to join our 24/7 operations team. This is a hands-on role combining trading, markets, technology, AI, and real-time operations. You will follow market conditions and risk, support and execute trading activity within defined procedures, investigate incidents, and help keep our trading operation running smoothly around the clock.

AI is central to how we want the team to work. We are looking for someone who is curious, agile, and comfortable using AI agents, skills, automation, and AI-assisted development to solve problems and build better workflows. You do not need to be a programmer or an experienced trader, but you should be eager to learn markets and technology quickly and turn ideas into practical solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor and manage real-time trading and production systems across global financial markets, including stocks, FX, commodities, futures, and cryptocurrencies.
  • Monitor market conditions, pricing, liquidity, trading activity, positions, and risk exposures.
  • Execute manual trades, adjust hedging parameters within defined bounds, and support trading operations across multiple asset classes and execution venues.
  • Monitor and support TradFi and DeFi trading workflows, including execution, liquidity, hedging, transaction flows, and settlement across relevant venues and systems.
  • Make operational adjustments to trading configurations in accordance with established procedures and risk limits.
  • Investigate trading failures, system alerts, and operational incidents, assess their impact, escalate when necessary, and follow incidents through to resolution.
  • Maintain operational discipline during live shifts, ensure timely follow-up on outstanding issues, and provide clear handovers to the next shift.
  • Use AI tools, agents, and automation to investigate problems, analyze data, develop solutions, and improve daily operations.
  • Build and enhance internal tools, dashboards, integrations, and workflows using AI-assisted development and automation platforms.
  • Work closely with global teams, including Trading, Risk, Technology, Product, and Operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, operational efficiency, and system reliability.
  • Support the continuous expansion of our 24/7 production monitoring capabilities.

Requirements

  • AI-first mindset: Genuine enthusiasm for AI and a practical understanding of how to use modern AI tools beyond basic chat, including AI agents, skills, workflow automation, and AI-assisted development.
  • Interest in financial markets: Strong curiosity about capital markets, trading, and financial instruments, from traditional markets to crypto and DeFi. Eagerness to understand how global markets operate and develop practical trading knowledge.
  • Technical curiosity and resourcefulness: Comfortable exploring new technologies, working with data and systems, and finding creative ways to solve unfamiliar challenges. A software development background is not required.
  • Agility and fast learning: Ability to quickly adapt, independently learn new tools and concepts, and apply them to real-world challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: Analytical thinking, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to investigate issues independently while recognizing when to escalate.
  • Ownership and accountability: A proactive approach, willingness to take responsibility for assigned actions, follow issues through to resolution, and maintain high standards in a live operational environment.
  • Teamwork and communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams around the world.
  • Excellent English: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 24/7 shift availability: Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Data and spreadsheet fluency: Comfortable using Excel or similar tools to investigate, validate, and communicate data in day-to-day operations.
  • Operational organization and attention to detail: Able to prioritize multiple live issues, keep accurate records, and provide clear, actionable handovers.

Nice to Have

  • Trading experience: Professional trading experience, experience in a dealing room or financial institution, or active personal trading in financial markets.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating AI agents, custom skills, automated workflows, or integrations between applications and services.
  • Familiarity with APIs, SQL, Python, scripting, or data analysis tools.
  • Financial data, BI, or production monitoring exposure: Experience working with raw market or trading data, BI tools, dashboards, monitoring/observability platforms, real-time production systems, or incident management.
  • Relevant education or practical background: Finance, economics, computer science, information systems, or another relevant field. A specific degree is not required.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments, trading platforms, pricing, liquidity, hedging, or risk management.
  • TradFi, crypto, or DeFi exposure: Familiarity with centralized trading venues, crypto markets, decentralized protocols, on-chain transactions, wallets, or settlement processes.

Our Hiring Philosophy:

At etoro, AI is changing how we build, work and make decisions, and our hiring approach reflects that. We are building an AI-first organisation where people are encouraged to use AI thoughtfully.

That starts with how we hire. Throughout our recruitment process, we may use AI-enabled tools, including interview notetakers and other technologies that help us capture information accurately, improve consistency and create a better experience for candidates and interviewers. These tools support our feedback and assessment outcomes. Hiring decisions remain grounded in running fair and consistent interview processes, human judgement, critical thinking, and thorough evaluation of experience, ability and motivation that are aligned to our business and role requirements.

We also want candidates to be comfortable working with AI. Depending on the role, we may explore how you use AI tools in your day-to-day work, how you think about their opportunities and limitations, and how you would contribute to etoro’s continued AI build-out.

For us, being AI-first is not about replacing human judgement. It is about combining human expertise, creativity and accountability with technology that helps us do our best work and accelerate our growth. In the end, that's what we're hiring for: human insight, supercharged by AI.
