On eToro, all clients can hold funds in a USD account. Eligible clients can also hold funds in a local currency account, depending on their country of residence.
Local accounts currently available: GBP, EUR, AUD and DKK
Currency conversions may be required in the following scenarios:
- Trading assets using funds from your local currency account when the asset is denominated in a different currency
- Transferring funds between your USD account and your local currency account
- Depositing or withdrawing funds in a currency different from your eToro account
Conversion fees may vary depending on location, payment method, and Club level.
GBP account is provided by eToro Money UK Ltd
EUR & DDK accounts are provided by eToro Money Malta Ltd
AUD account is provided by eToro AUS Capital Ltd
With an active recurring investment plan you benefit from reduced conversion fees of just 0.75%.
The eToro GBP and EUR accounts charge conversion fees in percentages.
All other eToro conversion fees are charged in PIPs, which will reflect a fee of 1.5% or 3.0%, according to currency and/or payment method. See also Club Member Discounts below.
Conversion fees on deposits and withdrawals
Conversion fees on deposits and withdrawals to and from the GBP or EUR account are not applicable as you can only transfer GBP to the GBP account and EUR to the EUR account.
Conversion fees on deposits and withdrawals to and from the USD account are applicable as you can transfer in and out in multiple currencies. See below.
