What Is Sartorius AG?
Sartorius AG, also known as the Sartorius group, is a German-based pharmaceutical and laboratory equipment supplier. Founded in 1870 by Florenz Sartorius, the company employs thousands of people, many located at the company’s headquarters in Göttingen. Sartorius AG is split into two primary divisions: Lab Products & Services and Bioprocess Solutions. Sartorius has a presence in over 100 countries, including production facilities and business development offices.

SRT.DE stock is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Sartorius AG stock is also part of several indices, such as the Euronext: DIM, CAC Mid 60 and the TecDAX. Unknown to even some experienced traders, the TecDAX tracks the performance of the 30 leading German tech companies. SRT.DE stock has been part of the TecDAX since 2012.

Sartorius AG was heavily involved in both the First and Second World Wars. However, in both cases, their involvement was at the decree of the German government and not of their own volition. In both instances, the company facilities were converted into military hardware production centres, serving the army and air force.
