In addition Britain’s economy grew faster than expected in the third quarter boosted in part by strong ticket sales for the London Olympics, but the country’s finance minister said Britain still faced economic challenges at home and abroad.

Apple Inc. (AAPL) is currently in negotiation with major music labels to start an advertising-supported Internet radio service by early next year. The focus of the negotiation is how Apple can obtain licensing pacts with labels, which will allow more flexibility about what listeners hear and on how to share ad revenue regenerated from the project. According to rumors an agreement could be reached by mid-November, with Apple launching a service within the first quarter of 2013. As sales of music downloads are slowing, Apple and record companies are exploring new ways for customers to engage and buy digital music.
