The Risk and Compliance officer is responsible for managing Risk and Compliance matters including but not limited to the compliance processes, procedure and working closely with the global team on all risk and compliance related tasks.
This role requires an experienced self-starter who will own and lead the local Risk and Compliance processes and procedures, ensuring they are in-line with ADGM requirements and regulations and working on creating efficiency and streamlining. One of the key responsibilities is to ensure that eToro complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and code of best business practice.
What will you be doing?
Compliance Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to local, state, federal, and international regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements, including industry standards, legal obligations, and corporate policies (Product Governance)
- Provide support on regular audits and reviews to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement, both in Compliance and Risk.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory bodies and senior management.
- Review and lead the financial promotions campaigns at a local level
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks that could impact the organization.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Monitor and review risk management processes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management into all business processes.
- Prepare risk assessment reports and present findings to senior management
- Complying with all the obligations of a registered Risk role, including preparation and submission of all-regulator mandated reports
Data Protection:
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and regulations by implementing policies and procedures
- Monitoring data security measures and conducting regular audits to safeguard sensitive information from breaches
- Be the registered Data Protection officer for the entity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., CRCM, CRMP) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work to short timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using compliance and risk management software and tools.
