Oded’s Community Service, who is a Guru?

Hello again eToro users,

I hope you all enjoyed last week’s post.

As promised, today I will talk about eToro Gurus, and of course summarize last week’s main action on OB.

Let’s start with who is a Guru?

In the early stages of the eToro Guru Program we had very strict rules, e.g.: at least 3 months profit, average leverage of up to 100 and a minimum win ratio.

You might think to yourself: “wow, this is the right direction…” some might think we shouldn’t care about win ratio, others will ask to add winning days, or simply to change the leverage factor.

I can go on and on with these examples and this is exactly why it doesn’t work!

We at eToro don’t know who is a Guru! We don’t pretend to know who will make money next week, what is the perfect money management approach or who has the best strategy.

But we do believe you (eToro community) know! eToro Gurus are basically community Gurus.

eToro strongly believe that the “wisdom of the crowd works”! (And with good reason) And therefore we gave the power of choosing the Gurus to you, eToro users.

This is why today eToro Account Managers are approaching every eToro trader with 10 copiers. Sounds simple? Try having 10 people whom don’t know you, to invest their money on your success doing anything, yet alone making profit with their money!

It is hard, and for everyone who has got 10 copiers BRAVO!

So… Once you have 10 copiers, the rest is simply to agree to the eToro terms of the program which are of course changed from time to time to better support eToro users and Gurus.

So choose wisely whom you copy! It might affect others as well!

*e-Copiers are eligible copiers; these are copiers who have a minimum of $100 to copy the trader.
