Role Summary:

This is a defining hire for eToro in the United States. As we continue to scale our US operations across eToro USA Securities Inc., eToro USA LLC, and eToro NY LLC, we are looking for a Chief Compliance Officer who can do more than manage a compliance function — someone who can transform it.

The incoming CCO will inherit a compliance environment that is ready to evolve. eToro's ambition is to move away from a more traditional, process-driven compliance model toward something more agile, connected, and commercially integrated — a function that works in genuine partnership with the business. That requires a leader with the vision to articulate that change, the credibility to drive it from the top, and the regulatory depth to execute it without compromise.

This is a senior, highly visible role. The CCO will sit at the intersection of regulatory obligation and commercial strategy, shaping how compliance is understood and practised across the US business, and serving as eToro's primary interface with US regulators. The successful candidate will also integrate into the wider Group compliance function, contributing to a globally consistent compliance culture.

What will you be doing?

  •  Serving as the designated CCO and key function holder across eToro's US-registered entities, with accountability to the Board of Directors and Group compliance leadership.
  • Owning and developing the US compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and the compliance monitoring programme, ensuring it is robust, risk-based, and fit for a fast-scaling business.
  • Leading regulatory engagement with the SEC, FINRA, FinCEN and other relevant US regulators — building and maintaining constructive, transparent relationships and coordinating responses to examinations, inquiries, and reporting obligations.
  • Providing clear, practical, and commercially aware guidance to senior management and the Board on regulatory developments, compliance risk, and strategic initiatives
  • Acting as a visible champion of a progressive compliance culture — one that is embedded in the business and seen as a genuine enabler of growth, rather than a constraint.
  • Owning the compliance framework for eToro’s AI initiatives in the US — ensuring that AI-powered products and features operate within a clearly defined regulatory perimeter, navigating the boundary between information-only services and regulated investment advice, and supporting the pathway toward any required registrations or approvals.
  • Ensuring full compliance with applicable US regulatory obligations across securities, broker-dealer, AML/BSA, OFAC sanctions, consumer protection, and data privacy requirements.
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting obligations, including FINRA filings and SEC reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The US AML Compliance Officer — who will report directly into the CCO — carries primary responsibility for AML/BSA and SAR obligations; the CCO provides senior oversight and accountability for this function.
  • Collaborating with the Group compliance function to ensure consistency of approach, sharing of best practice, and alignment on global regulatory priorities.
  • Building and leading the US compliance team — recruiting, developing, and retaining talent capable of supporting the business through its next phase of growth.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a senior compliance role within a US-regulated financial services firm — broker-dealer, RIA, fintech, or crypto-asset business preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of the US regulatory landscape: SEC, FINRA, BSA/AML, OFAC, and relevant state-level requirements. Working knowledge of the evolving regulatory framework for digital assets and crypto-asset services is essential — eToro operates in this space and the CCO must be credible in it from day one.
  • A proven track record of designing and operating compliance frameworks that are both technically robust and commercially intelligent.
  • Direct experience engaging with US regulators — including examination management, regulatory correspondence, and proactive relationship management.
  • The ability to lead change: to challenge the status quo, influence senior stakeholders, and embed a new compliance philosophy across a business that is growing rapidly.
  • Commercial awareness and business instinct — an understanding that the best compliance function is one that enables the business to grow with confidence, not one that defaults to caution.
  • Excellent communication skills: the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for a broad range of internal audiences.
  • Strong AI literacy and genuine enthusiasm for working in an organisation where AI is central to the product and operational model — the CCO must be comfortable engaging with AI tools directly, forming views on their regulatory implications, and shaping how AI is deployed responsibly.
  • Proven people leadership and people-management skills — the ability to build, motivate, and develop a high-performing compliance team, hold people accountable in a constructive way, and create an environment where talent wants to grow. Strong interpersonal skills are essential: this person will work across legal, product, finance, and the wider business, and must be able to build trust and influence without authority
