We are constantly growing and are excited to share that we are looking for a Tax Operations Analyst to join our team.
What will you be doing?
- Execute annual reporting processes, including data gathering, validation checks, file preparation and uploads, and timely distribution of all required forms, including but not limited to FATCA, CRS, and QI regime reporting obligations (e.g., 1099, 1042-S, 1042, 945, 1120-F, 8966)
- Manage the customer Tax Report queue, including escalations to vendors and internal technical support in accordance with designated procedures
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tax withholding procedures, including tax payment calculations, reconciliations, adjustments, and corrections
- Address escalations related to customer tax inquiries and serve as a member of the subject matter expert team
- Assist in evaluating tax implications for crypto-related products—such as forks, staking, transfers, and sales—and support process enhancements in collaboration with customer-facing teams, product, and DevOps
- Support liaison efforts with customer-facing regional managers and potential local tax partners for the eToro Tax Partner Program, including maintaining partner relationships through monthly calls and webinars
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Report to and work closely with the Director of Tax Compliance and Operations on the overall execution of the Group Tax Compliance Program
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry, accounting, or an audit firm as a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of the CRS, FATCA, and QI compliance frameworks, as well as IRS and other tax authority regulations
- General understanding of the FinTech industry, broker-dealer operations, and crypto businesses
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to develop effective internal and external partnerships
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-changing environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
- Data analysis skills, including the use of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
- Direct working experience in informational tax reporting within financial services (banking, brokerage, payment processing) considered an advantage
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
