Crypto Corner
We’re continuing our talk about the ins and outs of the crypto market, helping investors become more familiar with the 110+ cryptoassets offered by eToro. Today we’ll discuss Sonic and 1inch.
Sonic (S): Currently trading near $0.05 with a market cap of roughly $146 million
Sonic is Fantom’s next-generation Layer-1 upgrade, built for faster EVM-compatible apps across DeFi, gaming, payments, and trading — “EVM-compatible” means Sonic can run apps, smart contracts, and developer tools built for Ethereum with little or no modification.
It improves Lachesis consensus with sub-second finality, modular architecture, and throughput above 2,000 transactions per second. The Sonic token powers gas fees, staking, and governance, without equity, dividends, profit-sharing, or passive income rights.
1inch (1INCH): Currently trading near $0.10 with a market cap of roughly $140 million
1inch is a multi-chain decentralized exchange aggregator that helps users find efficient token swaps across liquidity sources. It has expanded into limit orders, liquidity tools, wallet services, and cross-chain integrations, with the 1INCH token used for governance and protocol participation. Holders do not receive equity, dividends, or revenue rights, and protocol decisions are handled through DAO voting — Decentralized Autonomous Organization — rather than centralized management.

The Setup — Solana

Like many cryptos, Solana has taken a hard tumble. After trading above $250 in September, SOL has been rangebound between $78 and $98 for several months. Now, it’s pressing into the top of that range as bulls look for a breakout through resistance. If they get it, more bullish momentum could follow. But if resistance holds near $100, Solana may remain stuck in its recent range.
