eToro Money Malta has been strategically setup as the Mediterranean hub to service the European customer base and through an EMI licensed in the EU, passport and offer e-money services to all clients within the EEA.
eToro Money is a part of the eToro Group, our product is an e-money account managed by a mobile app. eToro Money is approved and regulated by the FCA, UK and the MFSA, Malta.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the monthly financial reporting process including management accounts, analysis and group reporting, and other routine reporting tasks.
- Ensuring that the company’s financial matters are dealt with skill, care, and diligence, including accounting policies and procedures, capital requirements, funding strategy, tax matters (including any transfer pricing mechanisms), budget planning, and execution by the business strategy.
- Assist with the finance operations reconciliations and settlement process. Maintenance of all client money matters, ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date.
- Prepare necessary audit documents and assist with the drafting of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Liaise with auditors and external advisors.
- The preparation of VAT returns, corporate tax computations, supervision filings that reflect adherence to regulatory requirements and other relevant filings.
- To ensure that all work that incorporates companies that are licensed by regulators are in adherence to all rules and regulations as per licensed requirements of all licensing authorities.
- Responsible for the preparation of business plans, budgets, and forecasts analysis.
- Overviewing adherence to Budgets by departmental management.
- Ensuring accuracy, completeness, availability and accessibility of data across the organization.
- Ensuring all queries from banking counterparties are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner, including providing any relevant documentation upon request.
- Carry out other ad hoc tasks or assist with other accounting projects as necessary.
- Above tasks are to be performed for eToro Money Malta, eToro Money UK and any other eToro Group entity as required.
- Fully qualified accountant (min of EQF Level 6) with 2-3 years experience in Finance functions.
- Preferably to have electronic Money and payments industry experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with an advanced knowledge in Excel.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software.
- Good knowledge of IFRS reporting, income tax and VAT rules.
- Ability to work under pressure and willingness to learn as the role develops.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication experience.
