So you’ve invested – now what? In this blog post, we’ll explain how to sell your stocks.
Stocks are traded in real time on eToro, during market hours. When markets are closed, orders can be placed through the platform, and positions will be open once markets are open. To buy a stock, simply go to its page and click ‘Trade’.
Once you click the button, a popup window will appear, enabling you to apply relevant settings, such as invested amount, stop loss and take profit orders, and leverage.
Now, stocks will appear on your portfolio. If you wish to close the trade and sell them, go to your portfolio and click on the red ‘X’ next to the relevant stock.

When you click the ‘X’, a popup will appear detailing the position’s state at closing, including your total profit/loss:
Important points to remember:
– Market orders will be executed at the current market rate, unless determined otherwise when setting the order.
– Once you confirm an order, you can cancel it by going to your portfolio > market orders.
