The DJ30 closed at 12,533.97, gaining 93.01 points (+0.75%) in today’s trading. The SPX500 closed at 1,325.78, gaining 10.79 points (+0.82%) while the Nasdaq closed at 2,858.42, gaining 27.40 points (+0.97%)
The European equity market closed lower, as they struggled with growing negative investor sentiment over the Eurozone’s fate and its fiscal crisis. The focus has been directed towards Spain, after Fitch downgraded its debt rating three steps from “A” to “BBB” with a negative outlook.
The FTSE100 closed at 5,435.08, declining by -12.71 points (-0.23%), the DAX40 closed at 6,130.83, declining by 13.40 points (-0.22%) and the CAC40 declined by 19.47 points (-0.63%), compared to its opening price.
Anticipation is growing over the possibility for new software apps and products by Apple Inc. (AAPL) at the annual developer’s conference on Monday as well as improvements to its signature line of Mac computers. AAPL closed at 580.32, gaining 8.60 points (+1.50%).
