The Compliance project manager plays a critical role in ensuring our organization's commitment to compliance. This individual will oversee the integration of compliance practices across the business functions (Marketing, Product, CS, etc.) while maintaining rigorous adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Task Management: Oversee incoming marketing and product-related tasks, ensuring they align with compliance requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to drive tasks from initiation to successful completion.
- Compliance Monitoring: Analyze and monitor compliance-related metrics, including Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Provide comprehensive reports to senior management, highlighting trends, and patterns, and offering actionable recommendations to optimize performance.
- Material Review: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for compliance. Review and approve marketing materials to ensure regulatory compliance, and act as the primary liaison between the compliance team and other departments.
- Regulatory guidance. Provide guidance on the use of disclaimers, risk warnings, and other required statements in promotional materials.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Manage incoming tasks and coordinate with the Compliance teams, and relevant stakeholders to ensure a seamless compliance process.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay up-to-date on the latest regulatory developments and ensure that marketing and product teams are informed and compliant with current regulations.
- Ongoing management: Oversee the daily management of project management tools, ensuring tasks are tracked, and workflows are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness..
- Matrix Management: Ensure all compliance matrices, frameworks, and tracking systems are maintained and up to date to reflect the most recent regulatory standards.
Project managerial skills and a strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- First degree in economics, laws, business, operation, or related discipline (advantage).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in compliance or regulatory affairs within the financial services industry is preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
