  • Jody doesn’t have a conventional background in finance and investing but it’s something she is very passionate about. 
  • Jody has spent many hours consuming as much information on investing as possible in various forms, from books to YouTube. She has learned how to spot opportunity in the market from both a value and growth perspective.
  • She has built up her skills using eToro’s social platform, and this is where she can be found day-to-day talking about all her favourite stocks and macro economic data.

Experience

  • Jody attributes her success mainly to her love of learning. Books such as ‘’The Intelligent Investor’’ and ‘’Zero to One’’ have been critical in building a well rounded view of the markets as a whole. As well as books such as ‘’The Finance Book’’ that help with breaking down financial statements.
  • She has spent the majority of her career working in IT. Much of that has been with CDW under various job roles and is why Jody has a tech bias in her investing, since it’s a sector she understands very well.
  • Her current job role is to maintain and update operating systems and applications on servers, desktops, and other supported devices across 100’s of customer sites around the world.

Education and Certifications

  • CISI level 3 certificate in wealth and investment management
  • Jody earned her Advanced Diploma for IT Practitioners from City and Guilds.
